Yes. At Tranquility Dental Wellness, your first dental visit is designed to help us get to know you and your smile in a relaxed conversation with our dentist and hygienist. We provide you with a comprehensive dental exam, digital x-rays, and intra oral photographs and scans so you can see first-hand everything that we see. Depending on your oral health, we do our best to provide a prophylaxis dental cleaning during this first visit.

Most PPO insurance plans cover your routine exams, prophylaxis cleanings, and X-rays with minimal co-pay or out-of-pocket. We will help you maximize your dental benefits at your appointment.

Most new patient appointments at Tranquility Dental Wellness take about 60 to 90 minutes. This gives us time to connect with you, listen to your goals for your smile, and complete your full dental exam, take any necessary x-rays, and answer all your questions without rushing the process.

Dental X-rays are an important part of both your new patient exam and your routine oral care because they help dentists see things that cannot be detected through a visual exam alone. They provide early, detailed information that allows us to detect decay, infections, bone loss, and other issues early before they become painful or costly to treat.

In many cases, yes. At Tranquility, we aim to complete your dental cleaning during your first visit if your teeth and gums are healthy. However, if we detect signs of gum disease or more advanced needs, we may need to schedule your cleaning separately to ensure you receive the right type of care.

Cleanings shouldn’t be painful and we work gently and can make adjustments or use numbing gel to ensure you are comfortable during your dental cleaning.

Dental anxiety is very common, and you're not alone. At Tranquility Dental Wellness, we offer a calming environment with cozy amenities like blankets, headphones, and TVs. We also provide gentle sedation options to help patients who feel anxious or fearful during dental visits. Our goal is to make every dentist experience stress-free and supportive.

It is very possible to get whitening or cosmetic work started quickly.  We first make sure your teeth and gums are healthy. Once any necessary restorative treatment is completed, we can plan whitening and other cosmetic options.

Yes. When you book your appointment at Tranquility you're welcome to request a specific dentist or hygienist. We'll do our best to accommodate your preference based on their availability. If you're not sure who to see, our team is happy to recommend the right provider based on your needs.

Yes. We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral sedation for patients who want extra help relaxing. We can discuss which option is best for you during your first consultation and visit.

Never. We understand that anxiety can make it hard to come in sooner. Our job is to help you move forward, not look back. You’ll always be treated with compassion and respect. We are here to help you improve your dental health and offer you confidence and reassurance every step of the way.

We understand that sometimes changes in our schedules can happen. Our dentist and team reserves scheduled appointment time for your visit, and we hope that we can prevent last-minute schedule changes. If you need to reschedule your appointment, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a short-notice cancellation fee.
